The Arab-Africa Investment and Development Center Investment and Trade Forum is a specialized platform for business and trade exchanges between China and Africa. It has become one of the key events in the field of China-Africa trade activities. The 2024 forum is scheduled to take place in the Panyu District of Guangzhou from December 16th to 22nd.
Africa, the world’s second-largest continent, spans 30.2 million square kilometers, accounting for 20.4% of the earth’s land area, with a population of approximately 1.4 billion. Africa is renowned as the “world’s resource warehouse,” boasting the world’s largest reserves of various mineral resources. Industries such as mining, agriculture and agricultural product processing, automobile manufacturing, textiles, building materials, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and new energy are becoming popular investment sectors for China in Africa. Furthermore, mobile phone penetration in Africa has reached 60% of the population, with new trends emerging in mobile payments, e-commerce, digitalization, telecommunications, and logistics.

The forum will focus on “Arab-Africa Investment and Development Center Investment and Trade,” aiming to build a platform for business and trade exchanges. It will highlight emerging development trends in Africa, interpret China-Africa empowerment and development, share new perspectives, and actively promote the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area’s role in driving trade development with Africa. The forum will also provide comprehensive insights into the latest achievements in China-Africa industrial development and technological applications. The forum is scheduled for December 17th and will invite approximately 300 guests, including enterprises from Guangdong Province, Guangzhou, media representatives, and industry experts. Entrepreneurs and experts from relevant fields will present reports on topics related to China-Africa business activities and exchanges. The forum will also unveil key outcomes such as the signing activities of the Arab-Africa Investment and Development Center. International trade experts will participate in a roundtable discussion.
